The Tennessee Vols received some positive news late Friday night.

2019 three-star tight end Sean Brown committed to Tennessee via his Twitter account.

Brown is a 6-foot-5/245 pound tight end from Rome, GA (Coosa). He’s rated by 247Sports as the No. 69 player in the state of Georgia and the No. 30 tight end in the nation.

In addition to his offer from Tennessee, Brown also holds notable offers from Auburn, Kentucky, LSU, Maryland, NC State, Ole Miss and Vanderbilt, among several others.

Vols head coach Jeremy Pruitt, as has been the custom during his first few months on Rocky Top, sent out a post-commit tweet on Saturday morning.

Brown told 247Sports that he had considered taking more visits, but he said he knows in his heart that “Tennessee is the right place”. He also thinks the Vols will be back at the top of the SEC again soon, saying “They’re down to business, and they know that pretty soon they’re going to win them an SEC championship”.

The Georgia native added that the thing he appreciated most from the Tennessee was the “100 percent honesty” they gave him.

With Brown’s commitment the Vols have six commits to their 2019 recruiting class, which is ranked No. 31 in the nation.
