UPDATE (2:54 p.m. Tuesday): Viktor Arvidsson has been placed on injured reserve, per Adam Vingan of The Tennesseean. Arvidsson will be able to return to the lineup as early as Thursday, per Vingan. The Predators have also recalled Freddy Gaudreau from AHL Milwaukee, per the AHL Transactions page.

This news comes after the fact that Arvidsson took part in the team’s morning skate on Tuesday as the team gets set to host Vegas Tuesday night.

ORIGINAL STORY: During the Nashville Predators’ practice on Monday afternoon, winger Viktor Arvidsson was reportedly helped off of the ice by trainers and was not putting weight on his leg. At this time there is no information about the situation, but we will keep you posted as soon as any information is released.

Adam Vingan of The Tennesseean also tweeted about the situation saying that he did not see what happened, but also confirmed he needed assistance to the dressing room.

One piece of Nashville’s ‘JOFA’ line is already missing with Filip Forsberg on injured reserve with an upper-body injury, but he did take to the ice on Monday on his own which is an encouraging sign.

Arvidsson is the Preds third highest scorer with 13 goals and 14 assists through 41 games played this season.

The Predators return to action after their mandatory bye week Tuesday night as the Vegas Golden Knights come to town.
