LSU baseball coach Paul Mainieri isn’t having a good week thanks to the Tennessee Vols and the UT fan base.
The Tigers were swept by the Vols in a three-game series in Knoxville over the weekend. It was the first time Tennessee’s swept LSU since 2008.
As if that wasn’t bad enough, Mainieri made himself look like a fool this week during an interview on a radio station in Baton Rouge.
Mainieri complained about the “hostile environment” at Tennessee, while also bemoaning “bad calls” that went against LSU.
Check it out in the video below.

This is such a terrible look for a coach that’s had a lot of success in college baseball.
Look, hostile environments are part of sports. And so are bad calls (though I’m not exactly sure which calls he’s referring to from this past weekend).
The fact that Vols fans are in Mainieri’s head to this extent probably isn’t a good sign for the rest of LSU’s baseball season.
