On Saturday, Vanderbilt quarterback Kyle Shurmur left the game with 8:17 left to go in the 4th quarter. This changed the complexity of the game as backup QB Wade Freebeck was unable to move the ball and get past midfield.

Shurmur will wear a clear, protective visor on his facemask against Kentucky. For Vandy to have any sort of success the rest of season, their offensive passing game has to go through Kyle Shurmur, not Wade Freebeck.
