The Tennessee Vols are heading to Omaha to play in the College World Series for the first time since 2005.

Tennessee advanced on Sunday after beating LSU 15-6. The win gave the Vols a 2-0 series win.

After the game, Vols head baseball coach Tony Vitello spoke to reporters and he dropped a tremendous quote that involves UT legend Peyton Manning.

When you think of Omaha, you likely think of two things (unless you’re from Nebraska):

  1. The College World Series
  2. Peyton Manning

With these two worlds colliding, it was apropos that Vitello dropped a Peyton/Omaha reference on Sunday.

That wasn’t the only great quote that Vitello had, either.

“We’ll be dancing in the streets like crazy tonight,” said Vitello after the Volunteers’ big win.

It’s been a long time since Vol fans have had a reason to celebrate.

Tennessee fans, however, have remained incredibly loyal despite some tough times. They deserve some dancing in the streets.
