The Titans blew a 10-0 half time lead against the Vikings to lose 25-16. Marcus Mariota had an interception and fumble both returned for a touchdown by the Vikings defense putting the game on ice.
The Vols overcame early adversity to blow out Virginia Tech 45-24 in the Battle at Bristol. A slow start but Tennessee down 14-0 at the end of the first quarter. Josh Dobbs and the Vols scored 31 unanswered points to beat the Hokies.
Vanderbilt got in the win column on the season with a dominate performance over mid-state foe, MTSU 47-24. The defense carried the torch early by forcing turnovers to put the offense in scoring position. Running back Ralph Webb ran for 211 yards and two scores. QB Kyle Shurmur came to life after an 0-7 passing start to finish 15-28 for the game.
