Coach Duggs, otherwise known as Gus Duggerton, is off to a great start at Tennessee.
The former Texas Tech head coach is 2-0 at UT after hanging 55 points on Baylor.

It certainly appears that Coach Duggs and the Vols are on their way to competing for a national championship.
Maybe for years to come?
Eh, not so fast.
Duggerton has made it clear that he’s waiting on the Wisconsin job to open and Vol fans are well aware that he could make like Lane Kiffin and bolt if the Badgers come calling.
I will be staying at Tennessee for at least 2 years (unless Wisconsin opens up). Tomorrow we start the recruiting journey plus Week 1 against UCLA. Coming for that ass

But Wisconsin isn’t the only job that could catch Duggs’ eye.
I think fans should be very concerned about the NFL.
Duggerton is exactly the kind of coach that NFL teams are looking for right now. He runs a high powered air raid style offense. He has Texas Tech connections (Kliff Kingsbury and Patrick Mahomes vibes for sure) and he bears a striking resemblance to Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid (who just added a Super Bowl ring to his collection).
Tennessee fans should probably just live in the moment and enjoy the Coach Duggs train while it lasts, because I think he’s still working his way to the summit of the coaching world.
In fact, Bill Belichick should probably watch out. I could see Duggerton coming for that job in New England.
