The Tennessee Volunteers (22-1, 10-0) beat their rival, the Florida Gators (12-11, 4-6), in convincing fashion, 73-61 at home in Knoxville.

The Vols got off to a slow start, but the Gators struggled as well. Even though Tennessee started 2-7 from the field, they still led Florida 8-7 in the opening minutes of the game.

The Vols, however, eventually woke up from their slumber and started clicking offensively, which led to a 6-1 run from the top ranked team in the SEC.

The Vols went into halftime leading by only six, 36-30.

The second half started similarly to the first for Tennessee; the Vols allowed Florida to hang around.

Despite the Gators’ early resilience, the Vols eventually proved to be too much to handle offensively.

The Vols were led to victory by Grant Williams (16, 6, 3), Admiral Schofield (14, 6, 2), and Jordan Bone (10, 5, 5), who led the team in points, rebounds, and assists, respectively.
