Coming off its crucial home win against the Kentucky Wildcats, the Tennessee Volunteers (27-3, 15-2) dismantled the Mississippi St. Bulldogs (21-9, 9-8) on Senior Night, 71-54.
The game started out with the Vols’ seniors being recognized for their contributions to the program. It was an emotional moment, especially for Admiral Schofield who teared up a little.

However, it didn’t take Schofield long to snap out of it. Schofield, and the Vols as a whole, started out hot and brought their “A” game to the Bulldogs.

The Bulldogs were mistake-prone in the first half — and Tennessee took advantage of it and forced ten turnovers. Turnovers aside, Mississippi St. was able to hang around and prevent the Vols from running away with the game early.
Tennessee led at halftime, 31-25.
The Vols came out of the break without losing any momentum and continued to dictate the game.
With just over six minutes left to play, Tennessee had extended its lead to 22 points.
