The Tennessee Vols are among the top six schools for speedy four-star wide receiver Arian Smith.
Smith, 6-foot-1/170 lbs from Lakeland, FL, told VolQuest recently that Tennessee has risen into his top six, saying “I like how they run things around here (UT)…I like the city”.
The Florida native reportedly runs the 40 yard dash in less than 4.40 seconds. That’s the kind of elite speed the Vols need at the wide receiver position (he also runs track).
Smith is rated by 247Sports as the No. 11 player in the state of Florida and the No. 14 wide receiver in the nation.
In addition to his offer from UT, Smith also has notable offers from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Michigan and Notre Dame, among several others.
Tennessee’s 2020 recruiting class, which is ranked No. 25 in the nation, currently has nine commits. The Vols don’t have any wide receivers committed yet.
