Zacch Pickens, a 2019 five-star defensive end that is rated by 247sports as the No. 2 defensive end in the nation, will reportedly visit Tennessee on Saturday.

Pickens, the top 2019 player in the state of South Carolina, is one of the most highly sought after recruits in the nation. He has offers from Auburn, Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, Penn State and Texas A&M, among several others.

These are the kind of players that Tennessee will be going after under Pruitt.

Under the previous staff, they probably wouldn’t be as aggressive with Pickens (even though they did offer him).

Who knows if the Vols will end up being a major factor in Pickens’ recruitment, but getting him on campus this early in his recruitment is a huge win for Pruitt and the UT staff.

Pickens, 6-foot-3, 244 pounds, recently attended South Carolina’s junior day. 50 percent of the 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions have been made so far have the Gamecocks landing the talented defensive end.

The other 50 percent of the predictions have Pickens ending up at Clemson.
