The Tennessee Vols are the only SEC program among 2020 three-star defensive end Deontae Craig’s top eight.
Craig, 6-foot-3/230 lbs from Culver, IN, tweeted his top eight on Wednesday night. The Vols are the only non-B1G school he included.
Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Michigan State, Northwestern, Purdue and Ohio State are the other schools in Craig’s top eight.
I just want to thank all the coaches that have recruited me up to this point. My recruitment is still open, but at this time I feel it’s best that I focus on these 8 schools! pic.twitter.com/34383Mz9E0

The Indiana native took an official visit to Tennessee on April 12. He was also visited by Vols quarterbacks coach Chris Weinke earlier this week.
Craig is rated in 247Sports’ composite rankings as the No. 4 player in the state of Indiana and the No. 26 strong side defensive end in the nation.
After his visit to Tennessee in April, Craig told 247Sports that UT exceeded his expectations. He also said the Vols are “toward the top” of his list, calling the facilities in Knoxville “top notch”.
Craig could play either defensive end or linebacker for the Vols.
Tennessee currently has one defensive end/linebacker committed to their 2020 recruiting class — four-star junior college transfer Jordan Davis, who is rated as the top JuCo player in the nation.
