2019 three-star offensive guard Melvin McBride listed the Tennessee Vols among his top schools this week.

McBride, 6-foot-4/315 pounds from Memphis, TN (Whitehaven), is rated by 247Sports as the No. 10 player in the state of Tennessee and the No. 20 offensive guard in the nation.

The Tennessee native received an offer from UT after camping with the Vols in June. McBride also unofficially visited Neyland for the spring game in April.

Tennessee currently has 18 commits to their 2019 recruiting class. Three of those commits are offensive linemen.

The Vols are also heavily pursuing five-star offensive tackle Darnell Wright, so it’s unclear how many more offensive linemen they’ll be taking in this class.

McBride has good size, which is something Vols head coach Jeremy Pruitt is putting a premium on these days.

Given the lack of depth/size along Tennessee’s offensive line, McBride is a player that would be a nice addition for Pruitt and the Vols.
