2020 four-star defensive back Joel Williams, a Tennessee Vols recruiting target, decommitted from the Florida Gators on Monday evening.
Williams tweeted that he was re-opening his recruitment so he could be 100 percent sure about his decision.

The Baton Rouge native is rated in 247Sports as the No. 12 player in the state of Louisiana and the No. 17 athlete in the nation.
Williams committed to Florida last month over LSU and Tennessee.
For now, it appears that Tennessee has taken a tumble down Williams’ list. The dynamic athlete recently told Rivals that Alabama and LSU are currently his co-leaders.
Williams is planning to take upcoming visits to Alabama, Auburn, Kentucky and LSU.
The Vols would obviously love to land Williams. He’s an ideal fit (tall and lengthy) in Jeremy Pruitt’s secondary. But it’s clear that Tennessee has some work to do if Williams is going to end up on Rocky Top.
Visits can change everything. Williams visited UT in late April and put the Vols near the top of his list. It seems Pruitt and his staff need to get Williams on campus again before the highly rated athlete makes his final decision.
