The Tennessee Vols are receiving a visit from a highly rated 2020 four-star wide receiver this week.
Rico Powers, 6-foot-2/180 lbs from Savannah, GA, tweeted on Thursday that he’s on Tennessee’s campus.

Powers is rated in 247Sports’ composite rankings as the No. 22 player in the state of Georgia and the No. 40 wide receiver in the nation.
In addition to his offer from the Vols, Powers also holds notable offers from Auburn, Georgia, Kentucky, Nebraska, Oregon and South Carolina, among several others.
The Georgia native told Rivals earlier this year that he could commit early if he finds the right fit, but added “I am thinking it will happen right after my senior season”.
Powers is described by recruiting analyst Chad Simmons as a “talented athlete” with strong hands. Simmons adds that Powers has “the ability to make plays on the ball in the air”.
With Powers intent on taking numerous visits, it sounds like the battle for his commitment will likely go all the way until signing day (it’s unclear if he will sign early or wait until the traditional signing day in February).
Now that Powers has visited Rocky Top, though, the Vols should be right in the thick of the race to land the talented wide receiver.
