The Tennessee Vols extended an offer this week to 2022 four-star wide receiver Jaleel Skinner.

Skinner, 6-foot-5/200 lbs from Greer, SC, is rated by 247Sports as the No. 1 player in the state of South Carolina and the No. 10 wide receiver in the nation.
The South Carolina native, who also plays basketball, has the potential to be an elite wide receiver at the collegiate level. Skinner already possesses ideal size and athleticism.
It’s possible that Skinner, once he adds some bulk to his frame, could transition into a hybrid tight end/wide receiver type player (much like Arik Gilbert, who signed with LSU during the 2020 recruiting period).
Unfortunately for Tennessee, it looks like Skinner could land at Clemson.
Skinner told Rivals recently that if Clemson offers him he might “shut the recruitment down”.
The Vols currently don’t have any players committed to their 2022 recruiting class.
