The Tennessee Vols are hoping an early offer to a 6-foot-2/190 lb wide receiver can give them a head start in building their 2021 recruiting class.

Joshua Burrell recently tweeted that he received an offer from the Vols.

Burrell hasn’t been rated yet by 247Sports.

The South Carolina native, who unofficially visited Clemson, North Carolina, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest during the 2019 season, is an impressive athlete who already has the size to play college football.

Burrell still has two years of high school football left to play, so this is only the beginning of his recruitment. Based on the ease with which he catches the ball, and the way he’s already dominating in high school, I’d expect Burrell to eventually be a highly rated player (at least a four-star).

The Vols are smart to go ahead and get in on Burrell. There’s obviously a long way to go in his recruitment, but Tennessee should be right in the mix throughout it.
