The Tennessee Vols recently extended an offer to 2021 four-star defensive back Nyland Green.

Green, 6-foot-2/174 lbs, looks tailor-made to play in Jeremy Pruitt’s defense. He’s a long, rangy cornerback who possesses potentially elite athleticism. Basically, he’s the definition of what Pruitt looks for in his cornerbacks.

The Peach State native is rated by 247Sports as the No. 16 player in the state of Georgia and the No. 14 cornerback in the nation.

In addition to his offer from Tennessee, Green also holds notable offers from Duke, Kentucky, Michigan State, Minnesota and UCF, among several others.

The Vols have recruited well in Georgia under Jeremy Pruitt, so I would expect Tennessee to be a major factor in Green’s recruitment.

There’s obviously a long way to go until Green makes his commitment, but he’s certainly a player to keep an eye on for the Vols.
