The Tennessee Vols are getting in the mix for one of the nation’s top 2021 recruits.
Four-star defensive end Tunmise Adeleye tweeted on Wednesday that he received an offer from the Vols.

Adeleye, 6-foot-3/260 lbs from Katy, TX, is rated by 247Sports as the No. 7 player in the state of Texas and the No. 6 strong-side defensive end in the nation.
In addition to his offer from Tennessee, Adeleye also holds offers from Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Miami, LSU, Oklahoma, Texas and Texas A&M, among several others.
247Sports describes Adeleye as a “‘legitimate high-major recruit with long-term potential to reach top half of the NFL draft”.
Adeleye posted 56 total tackles and eight sacks as a sophomore in 2018.
Jeremy Pruitt and the Vols certainly have their work cut out for them if they hope to pull the elite defensive end out of Texas. But the good news for UT is they have the next two seasons to show significant improvement on the field. If they show they’re on their way to being a dominant program in the SEC, they’ll be able to sway recruits like Adeleye to Rocky Top.
Tennessee doesn’t have any commits to their 2021 recruiting class yet.
