Thomas, 6-foot-5/300 lbs from Memphis, TN (Briarcrest Christian), is rated by 247Sports as the No. 4 player in the state of Tennessee and the No. 7 defensive tackle in the nation.
The Memphis native recently visited Tennessee and told Rivals that the visit went well.
Thomas also mentioned that UT’s coaches believe he can be an elite defensive tackle in the SEC.

Defensive line coach Tracy Rocker and running backs coach David Johnson are the Vols coaches who are primarily recruiting Thomas to Tennessee.
UT currently has nine players committed to their 2020 recruiting class.
