Kobe versus Lebron.
There might not be a more polarizing topic in sports right now.
Half of sports fans go with Kobe. Half go with Lebron. And half probably don’t care (there might be some Yogi Berra math in there).
Thanks to Instagram, we now know where Tennessee Vols head coach Jeremy Pruitt stands on the debate.
He’s team Kobe.
Five-star outside linebacker Sav’ell Smalls, who was in Knoxville visiting Tennessee, posted a video to his Instagram story on Monday that shows Pruitt’s preference for Kobe.
If coach says Kobe is better than Lebron than Kobe is better than Lebron 🤷♂️ pic.twitter.com/pOpx6vvUpO

As you can see, Pruitt wasn’t thrilled to be on Instagram.
I’m actually surprised to see Pruitt going with Kobe in this debate. I think it’s a generational thing. If you grew up with Kobe, you probably prefer Kobe. Likewise for Lebron.
Pruitt didn’t grow up with either (he’s more of the Michael Jordan era), but he’s trying to convince 16-18 year olds to come to Tennessee. And I’d guess most 16-18 year olds prefer Lebron.
Of course, this could be another example of Pruitt being “real”. He’s not Butch Jones. He doesn’t try to pretend to be “hip” just to land a recruit. Pruitt is unabashedly himself. And that’s what makes him such a great recruiter.
For the record, I think Pruitt’s take is the correct take — despite what you might hear elsewhere on A to Z Sports.
If that’s the case… looks like another loss to Vandy & missed Bowl… 😂😂 LeBron > Kobe pic.twitter.com/PB5PIpjFH1
