Tennessee Vols head coach Jeremy Pruitt doesn’t offer glowing praise for his players very often.

So when he praises a player, it’s probably worth noting. Especially when it’s for a true freshman (insert big eyes emoji here).

On Wednesday, Pruitt practically gushed over true freshman linebacker Henry To’oto’o, calling him a smart player who can “make the calls” and play all three downs.

Pruitt also said To’oto’o is “what you’re looking for in a linebacker”.

After those comments from Pruitt, I’m expecting To’oto’o to be one of the top defensive players in the SEC at some point.

Pruitt has coached a litany of talented defensive players. A lot of those players went on to play in the NFL. If anyone knows what it takes to be a good linebacker in the SEC, it’s Pruitt.

And he obviously sees a lot of potential in the former four-star recruit.

To’oto’o might be a bit behind because he didn’t go through spring practice, but it wouldn’t shock me if he’s starting by the end of September.

In fact, he might be starting even sooner than that.
