The Tennessee Vols are one of three schools who might be able to bring a taste of France to their football program.

2020 four-star defensive tackle Jeffrey M’ba, 6-foot-6/310 lbs, tweeted a top three of Florida, Tennessee and Virginia on Thursday.

M’ba, who plays at St. Thomas More in Oakdale, CT, is rated in 247Sports’ composite rankings as the No. 4 player in the state of Connecticut and the No. 25 defensive tackle in the nation.

M’ba, who is being recruited to Tennessee by defensive line coach Tracy Rocker, is originally from Gabon and Cameroon, French republics in Africa. He moved to France when he was four years old.

The highly touted defensive tackle didn’t start playing football until January of his junior year of high school. Prior to coming to the United States, M’ba focused on soccer.

The Vols currently have five players committed to their 2020 recruiting class, including four-star defensive tackle Dominic Bailey (who, coincidentally, plays at St. Frances High Academy in Baltimore, where M’ba was originally suppose to play).
