Toll, 6-foot-5/244 lbs from Hazen, AR, is rated by 247Sports as the No. 1 player in the state of Arkansas and the No. 15 strong side defensive end in the nation.
The Arkansas native recently told Rivals that he sees a path to early playing time at Tennessee because the Vols don’t have a lot of depth along the defensive line.
Toll also mentioned that UT tight ends coach, and recruiting guru extraordinaire, Brian Niedermeyer is his main recruiter. With that being the case, I’d say the Vols have a very good chance of landing the versatile defensive end who can also play tight end.
It doesn’t hurt that Toll is already building a bond with Tennessee head coach Jeremy Pruitt. Toll told Rivals that he talks with Pruitt whenever he can, adding “I like that he’s a down to earth guy and I like that he’s really real with me…..he’s a good southern guy”.
The Vols currently have six players committed to their 2020 recruiting class, including four-star defensive end Jordan Davis.
