2021 four-star athlete Kamar Wilcoxson tweeted his top 10 schools on Thursday and he included the Tennessee Vols.

Wilcoxson, 6-foot-2/190 lbs from Decatur, GA, is rated in 247Sports’ composite rankings as the No. 18 player in the state of Georgia and the No.18 athlete in the nation.

The Georgia native was previously committed to the Florida Gators, but he decommitted shortly after a visit to Tennessee.

Wilcoxson told Rivals in March that UT grabbed his attention because of Jeremy Pruitt’s reputation as a great defensive head coach. He also mentioned the secondary coaching combination of Derrick Ansley and Pruitt possibly being a big factor in his decision (Wilcoxson, though listed as an athlete, will likely be a defensive back in college).

The Vols currently have three players committed to their 2021 recruiting class, including cornerback Jay Jones, who committed to Tennessee on July 4.
