2019 four-star wide receiver Darin Turner, who has an offer from the Tennessee Vols, decommitted from the LSU Tigers on Thursday afternoon.

Turner originally committed to LSU almost a year ago (March 27, 2018).
The Memphis native, 6-foot-3/205 lbs, is rated in 247Sports’ composite rankings as the No. 4 player in the state of Tennessee and the No. 18 wide receiver in the nation.
Tennessee was actually the first school to offer Turner, way back in 2016. But that was a different coaching staff, so it’s unclear what kind of relationship he has with the current staff at UT (he’s definitely a target, however).
It’s worth noting the Vols have two coaches who could be key in helping bring Turner to Knoxville. Running backs coach David Johnson knows the Memphis area quite well and wide receivers coach Tee Martin is one of the top recruiters in the nation.
Turner is one of the top players in the state. If the Vols are going to return to greatness, they have to start landing as much elite in-state talent as possible.
That means Turner should absolutely be a top priority for Tennessee.
