The Tennessee Vols are hoping that a 2020 outside linebacker from South Carolina is flying under the radar.
On Tuesday, the Volunteers became the first school to offer Hartsville native Kevon Haigler (6-foot-2/215 lbs).

Haigler hasn’t been rated by 247Sports.
Tennessee’s coaching staff takes pride in their player evaluations, so I’m sure they feel they’ve found a diamond in the rough with Haigler.
But there’s a problem with finding a relatively unknown player — once other schools see that Tennessee offered, they’ll start taking a look at Haigler as well.
This is something the Vols know all too well. Tennessee “discovered” wide receiver Jordan Young in late 2017, when he was quickly offered by Jeremy Pruitt. Young, however, ended up signing with Florida State (despite committing to UT).
Of course, a lot has changed on Rocky Top since 2017. I can’t see Pruitt missing on very many unknown recruits he targets early.
