2021 four-star wide receiver Deion Colzie is one of the top-rated recruits in the nation and the Tennessee Vols are in the mix to land him.
Colzie, 6-foot-4/193 lbs from Athens, GA, is rated in 247Sports’ composite rankings as the No. 14 wide receiver in the nation and the No. 11 player in the state of Georgia. He’s also rated as the No. 84 overall 2021 recruit in the nation.
The dynamic wide receiver told Rivals this week that Tennessee, Florida, and Notre Dame are the programs in his final three.
“I have thought about it a lot and those are the schools that have stayed with me and recruited me the hardest,” said Colzie.
“I have talked to those schools a lot the last few months, each has shown a lot of interest in me and I have a good feeling with the coaches”.
Colzie, who is planning to commit on September 28, was committed to Notre Dame at one point, but he decommitted earlier this spring.
It’s a complete toss-up right now as to where Colzie will land. It’s certainly possible he could end up on Rocky Top, but Colzie also has a good relationship with Florida, so it wouldn’t be wise to rule out the Gators.
