The Tennessee Vols’ 2019 recruiting class is coming along nicely (they’ve added four commits so far in May), but Jeremy Pruitt and his staff are also working hard on the 2020 class.
One of their top targets, four-star wide receiver Rakim Jarrett from Washington D.C., appears to be set to visit Knoxville this fall for the Volunteers’ matchup against Alabama.

Jarett, 6-foot/182 pounds, is rated by 247Sports as the No. 2 player in Washington D.C. and the No. 8 wide receiver in the nation.
In addition to his offer from Tennessee, Jarett also holds offers from Alabama, Florida, Florida, State, Michigan, Penn State, Texas A&M and Virginia Tech, among several others.
Jarett’s highlights show us a wide receiver that has good hands and great field awareness. He appears to run good routes and have a good feel for the game. He’s also not afraid to get out on the perimeter and block (go the the 1:35 mark of the above video for a great example).
Landing Jarett would certainly be a nice addition for Tennessee, but there’s a long way to go in his recruitment.
Which isn’t a bad thing, it will give Pruitt and the staff plenty of opportunities to make a solid impression on the D.C. native.
