The members of the Tennessee Vols’ 2020 recruiting class won’t be in Knoxville together for at least another 6-12 months, but that isn’t stopping them from building some team chemistry.

According to three-star athlete Jimmy Calloway, who committed to the Vols in mid April, Tennessee’s 2020 commits have a large group text going to keep up with each other.

Calloway recently told VolQuest that he doesn’t speak up much in the group text, saying “I don’t talk much, but I love to read their conversation”. He added “They seem like really cool dudes. They are really chill and easy to chat with.”

Talent is obviously a big part of why college programs are successful. In fact, it’s probably the most important component of a successful team.

But team chemistry is a very close second. If a program has a bad locker room, or zero team chemistry, they will fail. It doesn’t matter how much talent they have.

Fortunately for the Vols, it looks like the program is making sure their players build camaraderie before they even step on campus.

That’s just another reason why Jeremy Pruitt is destined for success at Tennessee.
