Tennessee Vols true freshman defensive back Bryce Thompson took a scary fall in UT’s win against the Kentucky Wildcats on Saturday.
Thompson fell on his neck/head while defending a pass in Tennessee’s end zone and laid motionless for several terryifying minutes.
On Monday, Vols head coach Jeremy Pruitt told reporters that Thompson is going through standard tests and that he “seemed fine”.
Pruitt says Bryce Thompson “got his bell rung” on Saturday. Says he’ll go through the standard tests, but adds that he “seemed fine” today.

This echoes what Thompson tweeted on Sunday.
I appreciate everybody checking up on ya kid ! I’m gonna be good! #GBO🍊

It’s too early to tell if Thompson will be available for Tennessee’s matchup against Missouri on Saturday, but it’s certainly good news that the young defensive back didn’t suffer a more serious injury.
