Jontavis Robertson, a 2020 three-star wide receiver from Gray, GA, recently told Rivals that the Tennessee Vols, along with the Duke Blue Devils, are “right there are the top” for him.
Robertson, 5-foot-11/180 lbs, is rated by 247Sports as the No. 51 player in the state of Georgia and the No. 119 wide receiver in the nation.
In addition to his offers from Duke and Tennessee, the Georgia native also holds offers from Baylor and Kentucky, among several others.
Robertson, who recently took a visit to UT, told Rivals that the school “felt like home” and that he could see Tennessee “building me as a man and football player”. He also mentioned the Vols see him playing on both sides of the ball (wide receiver and defensive back).
So thankful & more than humbled to have received an offer from The University of Tennessee! Special shout out to @WR_Coach_Toomer for ALWAYS telling me since Day 1 that I was a special player! Love you Coach Toom! pic.twitter.com/UK5E7dQD0O

It seems obvious that Tennessee sees a lot of potential in Robertson. He’s not a highly rated player, but they clearly see something they like in him.
Robertson finished his junior season of high school at Jones Country with 53 receptions for 921 yards and ten touchdowns. He also carried the ball two times for 39 yards (he scored on both carries).
The Vols currently have five players committed to their 2020 recruiting class.
