One of the top players in the state of Nebraska has the Tennessee Vols listed among his top six schools.
2020 three-star wide receiver Xavier Watts, 6-foot-1/185 lbs from Omaha, NE, tweeted a top six on Monday that included Tennessee.

Watts, who caught 65 passes for 1,093 yards and 15 touchdowns as a junior in 2018, is rated by 247Sports as the No. 2 player in the state of Nebraska and the No. 76 wide receiver in the nation.
The Nebraska native told Rivals earlier this month that he’s hoping to commit before the start of his senior season.
It’s interesting that Tennessee is the only SEC school in the mix for Watts. Outside of UT, the schools in Watts’ top six are all in the midwest.
The Vols, by the way, are the only SEC school from which Watts has a reported offer. This either means that Tennessee sees something in him that the other SEC programs are missing, or the Vols are reaching here.
Jeremy Pruitt has a great reputation for evaluating talent, so I’d wager that Watts is being overlooked by the rest of the SEC.
