When you live in New Orleans, you might as well make the most of it.

And that’s exactly what former Tennessee Vols running back Alvin Kamara, the reigning NFL offensive rookie of the year, is doing this weekend (and presumably every weekend).

Mardi Gras is currently taking place in New Orleans and a recent photo on Twitter shows that Kamara is enjoying himself quite a bit. So much, in fact, that he’s guzzling boxes of wine.

It’s the off-season, why not?

Plus I’m pretty sure Kamara can afford to relax a bit after the historic numbers he put up for the Saints last season.

Kamara became the 11th player in NFL history to record at least 700 rushing yards and 800 receiving yards. His 6.07 yards per average carry was the most ever by a non-quarterback rookie.

But back to the box of wine. It’s not like Kamara has to drink straight from the box. He (along with teammate Marshon Lattimore, the NFL defensive rookie of the year) has his own cups featuring his likeness.

It’s good to be the king.
