2020 four-star safety Keshawn Lawrence announced his commitment to the Tennessee Vols on Monday evening.
Lawrence, 6-foot-1/195 lbs from Nashville, rocked a Miami shirt in his commitment video, before shedding it to reveal a Vols shirt.

247Sports rates Lawrence as the No. 1 player in the state of Tennessee and the No. 3 safety in the nation.
Lawrence’s commitment on Monday was certainly a surprise. He told Rivals last week that he didn’t plan to commit until July. When he was asked if he might commit last weekend, Lawrence replied “no chance”.
Perhaps the Nashville native was being coy with his response. Or maybe the Vols came on strong in recent days. Either way, he’s committed to Tennessee (for now). And he’s a perfect fit in Jeremy Pruitt’s defense (tall and lengthy).
Lawrence committed to UT over offers from Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, LSU, Miami and Ole Miss, among many others.
The Vols now have 11 commits to their 2020 recruiting class, which is currently ranked No. 24 in the nation.
