Crawford, 5-foot-10/170 lbs from Tyler, TX, is rated in 247Sports’ composite rankings as the No. 109 player in the state of Texas and the No. 62 athlete in the nation.
It’s pretty obvious the main reason the Vols are recruiting Crawford — speed.
The Texas native’s highlight reel starts with a clip of Crawford blowing past the competition at a track meet. From there, the rest of clip shows a high school player that is clearly the fastest on the field.
Tennessee needs all the speed they can get. That’s why Crawford, despite not being a highly rated player, would be a good fit for the Vols.
Crawford, according to 247Sports, has yet to take a visit to Knoxville.
UT currently has four players committed to their 2020 recruiting class.
