Tennessee Titans fans absolutely love Marcus Mariota.
And that’s great. But what’s really important is how Mariota’s teammates view the former Oregon Duck standout. After all, if Mariota wants to lead the Titans to the promised land, it’s essential he has the respect of everyone on the team — especially the veterans.
Titans pass rusher Derrick Morgan, who is entering his ninth season with the franchise, is one of the veterans on the team that Mariota needs in his corner.
The outside linebacker appeared on the NFL Network recently and he couldn’t stop heaping praise on his quarterback.
Morgan called Mariota “humble” and mentioned that he doesn’t get caught up in the hype.
Check it out.

Morgan also mentioned that Tennessee’s goal this season (and basically every season) is to win the AFC South.
The Titans came up short last season, and it won’t be any easier this year with the solid stable of young, talented quarterbacks that’s present in the division.
But while the competition will once again be stiff, the hope is that new head coach Mike Vrabel will be able to get the most out of an extremely talented roster and lead Tennessee deep into the playoffs.
There will undoubtedly be a bit of a learning curve for Vrabel, but he has the resources to do something special during his first season in Nashville.
