Despite how it ended, the 2020 season had its magical moments. Even though for a small stretch, the Tennessee Titans were in the news for the wrong reason, they had plenty of other moments that had them all over televisions for good reasons.
Let’s sit back and enjoy some of the best moments of the 2020 season. Here are the top five moments.
5. DERRICK HENRY’S 94-YARD TOUCHDOWN
There is something different about Derrick Henry when he’s backed up in his end zone. It’s like he becomes the incredible hulk and flash mixed into one guy.
He is already in the history books with a 99-yard touchdown versus the Jacksonville Jaguars. He was just five yards shy of doing it again versus the Texans.

The reigning NFL Offensive Player of the Year has two 90+ yard touchdown runs in his career. So, maybe backing the Titans up in their end zone isn’t a good idea?
4. DERRICK HENRY STIFF-ARMS
Maybe the headline should be “Top Derrick Henry moments of 2020?” Because Henry had two jaw-dropping stiff arms that had the internet buzzing.
The first one came on a Tuesday night versus the Buffalo Bills. Henry sized up cornerback Josh Norman, then delivered a haymaker and sent Normal flying for about two yards.
The crazy thing is the play didn’t even count!

A couple of months later, Henry gave Detroit Lions’ rookie Alex Myres a welcome to the NFL moment with a stiff-arm heard around the world.

Both these moments had the memes rolling in hot. Henry has solidified himself as the king of the stiff-arm.
3. Tuesday Night Massacre
The first stiff-arm came on a rather special night. A night in which the Tennessee Titans decimated the Buffalo Bills 42-16.
The blowout isn’t why it was impressive. A couple of weeks before the game, the NFL’s first COVID outbreak just so happened to be in Nashville. The NFL postponed the Titans’ game with the Steelers, and the Titans could not practice for a little over a week.
Leading up to the Bills’ game, which got postponed from Sunday to Tuesday night, the Titans only had a total of two practice days. However, if you watched the game with no prior knowledge, you’d be convinced the Bills were the ones without any practice.
The Titans routed the Bills on national television – ON A TUESDAY! It was a beauty to watch.
2. Derrick Henry Overtime Winners
Ok, fine. If you want to call this list the Derrick Henry list, then go ahead. Because this is the King’s third time appearing on the list.
The week six contest between the Tennessee Titans and Houston Texans was nothing short of dramatic. The Titans needed a game-tying drive and an overtime game-winning drive to knock off their AFC South rivals.
And the game ended on a beautifully designed Wild Cat play, led by yours truly, Derrick Henry.

Derrick Henry also iced the game versus the Baltimore Ravens in week 11, sending the Ravens home by literally handing them an L.. running an L-shaped touchdown in overtime.

1. AFC South Clincher
The week 17 game with the Texans had so many moments that the entire game is number one on this list. Let’s start with the most historic one.
DERRICK HENRY MAKES HISTORY
The Tennessee Titans are the only NFL franchise that can say they have two 2,000-yard rushers. Derrick Henry needed 223 yards to reach 2,000 on the season, and he rushed for 250.
The highlight isn’t theatrical at all, but it’s historic nonetheless.
CROWN THE KING.

A.J. BROWN’S BIG CATCH
The Titans could have kneeled it out and sent the game to overtime. It would have been another overtime with the Texans.
However, they didn’t. Mike Vrabel said, let’s win this one and get out of here. And he called on his playmaker, A.J. Brown, to make something happen. Boy, did he make it happen.

That catch then led to this incredible moment.
SAM SLOMAN’S DIVISION-CLINCHING DOINK
Tennessee Titans’ starting kicker Stephen Gostkowski missed this game due to COVID issues, so the Titans called upon Sam Sloman to handle kicking duties.
When your starting kicker is out, the last thing you would hope for is the game to come down to a game-winning field goal.
It came down to a field goal.
Sloman lined up, knowing his foot could be the difference between the Titans’ winning their first AFC South crown in 12 years or heading to overtime.
Sloman’s kick went on to hit the post and doinked its way through to give the Titans a 41-38 win.
JUST LIKE THEY PLANNED!!!
Sam Sloman doinks it in for the Titans to win the AFC South ⚔️🔥

All of these moments had Tennessee Titans fans everywhere jump out of their seats. But, unfortunately, the season didn’t end the way they had hoped. The good news is, this team is for real. So there will be plenty more moments soon with better results.
