Anyone who has watched Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry play football knows he’s a hard runner.

But is he one of the hardest runners in the NFL?

According to NFL Network’s Kyle Brandt, the answer is yes.

Brandt recently ranked his top five hardest runners in the NFL and Henry came in at No. 2 on his list (just behind Melvin Gordon and just ahead of Saquon Barkley).

Check out what Brandt had to say about Henry on Good Morning Football.

I think Henry cemented himself as one of the toughest runners in the NFL with his ridiculous 99 yard touchdown run last December against the Jaguars.

Look, we already knew that Henry was a hard runner before that play. But that rushing touchdown, the way he knocked off defenders like they were middle schoolers, put him on a completely different level.

In fact, he should probably be No. 1 on Brandt’s list. But lists are subjective and it’s still a pretty big compliment that Henry was ranked No. 2.

It’ll be interesting to see if Henry is able to carry over some momentum from 2018 (his first 1,000 yard season) to 2019 under new offensive coordinator Arthur Smith.

A terrific fourth season from Henry, combined with the Titans’ added offensive weapons (plus the return of tight end Delanie Walker), could spell trouble for the rest of the AFC South.
