We are only ten days away from the start of the 2021 NFL Draft. About two hours after it begins, the Tennessee Titans will be on the clock. There are a lot of ways that the team could go on day one.

So, what pairings are the most common for them right now in mock drafts? Could it be a wide receiver to complement A.J. Brown? A cornerback to join veteran Janoris Jenkins and young Kristian Fulton? An offensive tackle to replace Dennis Kelly and cement their OL starters? Or maybe even another EDGE rusher to try to fix the pass-rushing woes of last season? Only time will tell, but in the meantime, here’s how a few scouts think it plays out for Tennessee in round one.

Benjamin Solak, The Draft Network: Rashod Bateman, Wide Receiver, Minnesota

Y’all have probably seen this one a few times by now, and that will continue. WR number two across from A.J. Brown is one of the biggest needs, and Bateman fits that billing. Along with Alabama’s Jaylen Waddle, he may be one of the top two receivers with the ball in their hands in this year’s class. Bateman didn’t always have a reliable thrower of the football to get him it at Minnesota. Ryan Tannehill has proven over the past couple of years that he can do that for his guys. If he’s on the board by pick 22, he will definitely be on the table.

Jamie Eisner, The Draft Network (based on betting odds): Greg Newsome II, Cornerback, Northwestern

Similarly to Bateman, Newsome II has been a popular Titans pick by analysts over the past month. He is one of the most NFL-ready cornerback prospects, and they need the bodies in the secondary immediately. You can expect to keep seeing him, Caleb Farley, and Jaycee Horn mocked to Tennessee when they make it to them. The need is just too large, and the top end of the class is that good. Oddsmakers favor Tennessee going defense one way or another in the first round.

Oliver Hodgkinson, Pro Football Network: Jamin Davis, Linebacker, Kentucky

This is one pairing you probably have not seen. The Titans add a ridiculously athletic linebacker to join Jayon Brown and Rashaan Evans in this mock draft. This one is a bit odd in the sense that linebacker does not seem like a glaring need compared to other positions. Although, Vrabel could develop Davis in a lot of ways to how he has with Jayon. The Kentucky product absolutely blew up from his pro day by scoring a Relative Athletic Score of 9.98 (best in the class) and running a 4.49 40-yard dash.

Mike Moraitis, USA Today: Teven Jenkins, Offensive Tackle, Oklahoma State

The Titans get their Dennis Kelly replacement in a big way from Moraitis. Jenkins is one of the best run-blocking offensive linemen in the draft and brings the mauler mentality that the Titans would love. He’s very experienced as well (35 starts) which the Titans may value  more than ever in this year’s draft. Putting Derrick Henry behind Jenkins and Lewan would be terrifying for opposing defenses.
