Former NFL wide receiver Chad Johnson is expecting big things from Tennessee Titans wide receiver A.J. Brown in 2020.

Johnson, who reached six Pro-Bowls during his 11 years in the NFL, tweeted a prediction on Sunday for Brown that you can “take to Caesars Palace”.

The former Bengals wide receiver thinks Brown will surpass 1,500 receiving yards this upcoming season.

Brown caught 52 passes for 1,051 yards and eight touchdowns as a rookie in 2019.

There’s no doubt in my mind that Brown is capable of putting up 1,500 receiving yards. He showed last season that he should’ve been a first-round pick out of Ole Miss (Tennesse got a hell of a bargain by landing him in the second round).

The question is whether or not the Titans’ offense will allow Brown to catch 1,500 yards.

There are some clues that it might.

Tennessee’s offense ran through running back Derrick Henry last year.

And while I wouldn’t expect that to drastically change, Titans offensive coordinator Arthur Smith said earlier this month that he expects Tennessee’s passing game to take a step forward in 2020 (he also hinted at managing Henry’s workload).

If the Titans decide they have to air it out to win games (if teams sell out to stop Henry), then it’s certainly possible that Brown could have a monster season like Johnson is predicting.
