The Tennessee Titans only made four selections in the 2018 NFL Draft, but according to NFL.com, they made some good moves.

As a recap, here’s who the Titans selected:

Round 1: (No. 22 overall) Rashaan Evans, LB
Round 2: (41) Harold Landry, LB
Round 5: (152) Dane Cruikshank, DB
Round 6: (199) Luke Falk, QB

Falk, who was waived by the Titans before playing a regular season game, is the only “miss” here.

Evans and Landry showed in their debut seasons they’re primed to be fixtures in Dean Pees’ defense for a long time.

Landry finished third on the team in sacks (4.5) while only starting three games.

Evans, who finished the season with 53 tackles, had 26 tackles over the final 5 weeks of the season. That extrapolates to 83 tackles over a full season (and he only started one game in the final five games of the season).

As for Cruikshank, his impact mostly came on special teams, as the Titans had a loaded defensive backfield.

NFL.com gave the Titans a B for their 2018 draft efforts. I think that’s a fair grade, considering Falk didn’t make the regular season roster and they only made four selections.

Here’s what they had to say about Tennessee’s 2018 draft class:

With less picks, it becomes more difficult to find contributors, but the Titans did so in selecting Evans and Landry. Evans’ debut was a bit delayed by injury, but his potential is great and he’ll get a chance to prove himself moving forward. Landry recorded 4.5 sacks in 15 games and is promising, but needs to take the next step. He’ll get a chance to do so after the retirement of Brian Orakpo. Cruikshank didn’t get many opportunities in a loaded defensive backfield, but he made an impact on special teams. Falk was released before the season and ended up on Miami’s roster.

It’s possible that as the careers of Evans and Landry unfold we see that B turn into an A.

Those two players certainly have the potential to become Pro-Bowl caliber players, which would drastically change the way the Titans’ 2018 draft class is viewed.
