2020 four-star Tennessee Vols recruiting target Kristian Story announced on Sunday that he plans to announce his commitment on July 18.

Story, 6-foot-1/206 lbs from Lanett, AL, is rated in 247Sports’ composite rankings as the No. 8 player in the state of Alabama and the No. 8 athlete in the nation.

The Alabama native was previously committed to Tennessee, but decommitted from the Vols last September. Story included UT in his top five in late March and told 247Sports that he believes Jeremy Pruitt will get Tennessee back to its winning ways. He also mentioned that Vols defensive coordinator Derrick Ansley is an important figure for him, noting that Ansley gave him his first offer at Alabama.

At the time of his decommitment, Story told 247Sports that he thought he was moving too fast and needed to take his time.

If the Vols are able to land a commitment from Story, for the second time, it would give them a versatile playmaker that could line up on either side of the ball. He would be an absolutely fantastic addition to Tennessee’s 2020 recruiting class.
