The Tennessee Vols landed one of their top 2019 targets last week when offensive tackle Wanya Morris committed to play on Rocky Top.
At the time, Morris was rated as a four-star recruit.
As of this week, however, Morris has been elevated to a five-star status in 247Sports’ composite ratings.

It can’t be understated how huge of a get Morris is for the Volunteers.
Not only does he give Jeremy Pruitt and Tennessee’s 2019 recruiting class some legitimacy, but Morris also addresses one of the Vols’ biggest team needs.
Tennessee’s offensive line play has been below average over the last several years, despite landing some talented players during that time.
Morris, however, will have the benefit of being a highly touted player that’s actually coached by a reputable offensive line coach at Tennessee (Vols offensive line coach Will Friend previously held the same position at Georgia and he was also recently the offensive coordinator at Colorado State).
The Vols’ 2019 recruiting class, which has five commitments, is currently ranked No. 37 in the nation.
