Three-star offensive lineman Cooper Mays, the younger bother of former Tennessee Vols recruiting target Cade Mays, who committed to UT but signed with Georgia in 2017, is set to visit UT this weekend.

Mays, 6-foot-3/278 lbs from Knoxville, is rated in 247Sports’ composite rankings as the No. 17 player in the state of Tennessee and the No. 6 center in the nation.
The Tennessee native, who previously visited the Vols in late January, told Rivals last month that UT “definitely stands near the top” for him.
Mays also made it clear that playing with his brother in Athens won’t be a driving factor in his college decision. He wants to pave his own way.
It should be noted, however, that Georgia is pursuing the talented offensive lineman. Mays unofficially visited the Bulldogs this past November.
If the Vols continue to show improvement under Jeremy Pruitt, and if Tennessee makes Mays a priority, I think it’s highly likely the Knoxville Catholic standout is wearing a Vol uniform in the fall of 2020.
But recruiting is wild, and anything can happen. For now, though, I like Tennessee’s chances to land the younger Mays.
