2021 Tennessee Vols signee Kaidon Salter just arrived in Knoxville a few weeks ago.
The highly touted four-star quarterback is one of UT’s key 2021 signees.
Unfortunately, Salter’s father, Kenneth, contracted COVID-19 while dropping off Kaidon in Knoxville.
The elder Salter has been hospitalized in Knoxville for two weeks according to a Go Fund Me that’s been set up to help the family with expenses (the family lives in Texas).
Word of the Go Fund Me for Salter’s father started spreading on social media and message boards on Friday morning.
In less than an hour, $10,000 was raised by fans, far exceeding the original $10,000 goal that was set.
Tennessee fans raised $10,000 in 30 minutes.
Maybe national media members will pick up on this story. https://t.co/BHSjTjjgln

There’s plenty of bad on social media every day, so it’s refreshing to see folks come together to help a family in need.
