Per Jeff Goodman, Tennessee and Gonzaga are slated for a rematch this December. The two teams would compete as part of the annual Jimmy V Classic.

The last time Tennessee and Gonzaga played, the Vols grabbed one of the best victories in school history when the No. 7 Vols knocked off the No. 1 Bulldogs 76-73. Admiral Schofield dropped 30 points in the win.

This year’s matchup looks to be exciting as well due to an abundance of talent. The game will feature three players in USA Today’s top-60 NBA prospects including Tennessee freshman Jaden Springer.  Both schools will be loaded with freshman talent after Tennessee hauled in 2020’s No. 4 recruiting class and Gonzaga finished with the No. 11 class.

The talent doesn’t end on the floor either as both head coaches, Mark Few and Rick Barnes, are in the top 100 all time in career wins.

The last meeting was incredible. The future talent is highly touted. This December meeting between the Vols and Bulldogs will be one of the most entertaining games of the season.
