It’s unclear where Richmond intends to transfer. It was reported on Friday that he, along with tight end Eli Wolf, entered the NCAA transfer portal.

Richmond’s time at Tennessee could best be described as tumultuous. He arrived in Knoxville as a highly rated 2015 recruit from Memphis. He was rated as the No. 2 player in the state of Tennessee and the No. 3 offensive tackle in the nation.
At the time, signing Richmond was seen as a huge get by the Vols. They landed him over Ole Miss, who was viewed as the favorite in his recruitment.
But Richmond hasn’t been able to deliver on the hype during his time on Rocky Top. He’s been part of an offensive line that has routinely under performed in recent years.
Richmond, as a grad transfer, will be eligible to play immediately. He has one year of eligibility remaining.
