The trade talks between the New Orleans Saints and Tennessee Titans for wide receiver Brandin Cooks has taken another turn.
This time, it’s been reported that the Titans sent over an offer and the Saints said no. This report is coming from John Hendrix who covers the Saints.

Hendrix seems confident in what his source has told him. It was also reported that New Orleans turned away the Patriots first round pick for Cooks last week. The Saints are asking a lot to give up their former first round pick. Cooks has over 2,300 receiving yards and 17 TDs during his last two seasons.
Another report from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport says the Saints could be asking for a player in return along with a high draft pick.

In my opinion, there’s no way Titans GM Jon Robinson would send one of his top three pass rushers to New Orleans for Cooks. Brian Orakpo, Derrick Morgan and Jurrell Casey combined for 24.5 sacks in 2016. Orakpo and Casey are Pro Bowl level players. Cooks has yet to make a Pro Bowl.
