The biggest story line of this years Orange & White game was the quarterback situation in Knoxville.

Who would emerge as the favorite heading into the summer?

I think that question was answered…

Both Quinten Dormady and Jarrett Guarantano will get their opportunity to lead drives in Atlanta when the Vols take on Georgia Tech but Dormady will probably get the first crack at it.

On Saturday, Dormady went 10 for 10 for 120 yards and 2 touchdowns. He shined on many different levels.

It started with a nice roll out toss on the run.

A dime to tight end Ethan Wolf

Last season, Tennessee finished 26th nationally in offensive red zone touchdown percentage and that trend needs to continue. Throws like these to Jauan Jennings are exactly what Butch Jones loves to see.

Dormady even dominated the quarterback competition after the live play finished. He was the only QB to toss a football into the trash can.

And to cap things off, Butch Jones had some fun before the weather ended the Orange & White game early. A cutout of Jauan Jennings was placed in the end zone to reinacted the unbeleveble finish in Athens last season. What do you know, Dormady nailed it.

Don’t be shocked if Dormady is the guy under center when the Big Orange roll out the first team offense in their season opener vs the Yellow Jackets. After today, Dormady earned it.
